Year: 2012 and 2013
Duration: 3 months cumulative
The carpentry and Woodworks and Painting and Finishing students were fortunate to work on a heritage house in the district of Quiapo in Manila.
A fine example of domestic architecture that developed in the Philippines, the ateroom on the second floor of the house was re-painted by the Painting and Finishing trainees in 2012, while the wooden components at the ground floor house such as windows, ceilings, and calados were repaired during the on-the-job training period of the students in 2013, for cumulative work duration of about 2 months.
For this project, Escuela Taller provided manpower and supervision while the owner provided tools, materials and transportation allowance for the trainees for the duration of the repair works.
