Traditional Carpentry & Woodworking for Tangible Heritage Conservation
The Traditional Carpentry and Woodwork Construction course is designed to teach trainees in traditional carpentry works such as wood joinery and assembly for framing systems without the use of nails, and wood carving. These skills are applied to the fabrication of framing systems for buildings, to the fabrication of furniture and cabinetry and to the fabrication of wood decoration and sculpture. The trainees also develop skills in repairs and replacements of damaged wood components, competencies that are applied to restoration work.
Nominal Duration: 8 months.
Qualification / Title: Skilled Worker for Carpentry and Woodworking (Oficial de Carpintería y Talla de Madera).
